Original Item: One Set of 5 Available. We just received these out of an old collection, untouched for years. As with any collection, there were some items that stood out, and others that were purchased as "projects", either due to condition, or because they were in want of a scabbard. All of these are original items, in varying condition, all offered without their original correct scabbards. They are offered as is, and many are still coated in the original arsenal grease. Some of these we were not able to get a positive identification of, but we will try to give those a basic description.

This set consists of:

- One large straight bladed "Basket Hilt" broad sword, which looks to be from the country of Denmark. It has a heavy 37 1/2 inch long blade, with an overall length of 44 1/2 inches. It bears the Coat of Arms of Denmark on the brass basket.

- One European somewhat crude hunting sword or hanger, with a wooden handle and S-guard bearing a finger ring. Measures about 29 inches long with a 24 inch blade, showing much oxidation.

- One French aluminum-handled short sword made with a cut down blade from a Model 1822 Cavalry Saber. The blade looks to bear a 1920 date on the spine, which is still fully marked. Measures 25 3/4 with a 29 1/4 inch blade.

- One French brass hilted short sword made with a cut down blade from a Model 1822 Cavalry Saber or similar. Measures 34 3/4 with a 21 inch blade.

- One British P-1796 style Light Cavalry Saber with an engraved blade. Condition is now quite faded, but there are still traces of some gold inlay. As this looks to be a "dress" version it is not as heavily built as the standard issued version. It measures 35 inches long with a 30 1/4 inch curved blade.
